Enslaved is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed in Haugesund in 1991 by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson.
Originally rooted in the early Norwegian black metal scene, the band quickly developed a distinctive sound inspired by Viking history, Norse mythology and progressive music.
Over the years, Enslaved evolved from raw black metal into a more atmospheric and progressive style while keeping their heavy foundations.
Enslaved has released numerous albums and has become one of Norway’s most respected and enduring metal bands.
Their constant musical evolution has earned them a strong international following.
